Growing up in Asia, Europe and North America left Vicki with a love of cuisine, history, language, fashion and travel. Today she writes on a variety of topics from food and entertaining, fitness, homeschooling, lifestyle and local tourism. As an editor and feature writer at Suite101 and Examiner, Vicki's goal is to meet the needs of her readers with informative and compelling content.

After winning a grand prize of $20,000 at an international poetry convention in 2003 for her poem titled, "Love Letter to India," Vicki was invited to be an Honorary Kentucky Colonel for her work in the field of poetry. Her poetry has been published both online and in print, and her Haiku blog examines life one breath at a time.
